Always loved these jackets. Dated 1966. Patched for the USS Mariano G. Vallejo, which mostly did training missions alongside the California coast before joining Submarine Squadron 15 and conducting strategic deterrent patrols in the Pacific for the next 20-ish years. Absolutely love the patch, both the bear and the colors overall. Decent amount of damage pictured. Because of the condition of the rest of the jacket, the damage almost looks like it happened in storage or when the jacket was first worn then tucked away. Who knows.
