VS-33, nicknamed “Screwbirds,” was an anti-submarine squadron established in the late 40’s and saw use until 1997. Was on some famous aircraft carriers including the USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63), USS Enterprise (CVN-65), and the USS John C Stennis (CVN-74). Each color jersey represented a different role on the flight deck, with green being for those who hooked the planes to catapults and handled arresting wires. Dated 1976, tagged and fits like a large.
