Information:
Not well known and took a lot of lobbying for get recognition in later years after the war but women were trained as pilots during WWII, mostly to test and ferry aircraft and also train other pilots. They ferried 50% of all combat aircraft during the war to 126 bases across the United States. Their logo was drawn by Walt Disney. This shirt most likely is for a reunion in the 80’s. Heavy lobbying for recognition was sought in the 70’s, with surprisingly Barry Goldwater playing an important role. I would encourage anymore to deep dive this organization. Tagged large, fits smaller. Deadstock, never been worn. Check pictures and measurements before purchase.
