This t-shirt advertises Destroyer Squadron 48 from WWII. The squadron included 9 fletcher-class destroyers that are visually shown on the t-shirt across the front and back. Post-war, the USS Kidd/DESRON 48 Association was founded and had annual reunions that commemorated lost shipmates during the war. This shirt was most likely made for one of these reunions. The U.S.S Kidd is still on display in its original form in Louisiana as part of a museum. Fits like a small.
