Absolutely incredible Umbro rugby, deadstock with tags and original price from 1983. The salmon/navy color combination is amazing as well as the little details like the V on the front and pocket on the front. Heavyweight and durable. Has some sun fading on one of the arms most likely from storage near a window. Yves Chouinard, the founder of Patagonia, traveled to Scotland to source rugby shirts in 1970 because their collar kept the climbing sling from hurting his neck. The eventual success of selling them led to him developing and selling clothing. Rugby shirts are a staple and their durability and reliability have led to their popularity outside the sport and indirectly helped pioneer Patagonia. Tagged a size medium and fits like one too.
